I decided to test Enemy 1.03 Vs. Suprminer 1.6 Vs. Enemy 1.05, eliminating as many variables as possible. I was tired of hearing people making claims that X miner was faster than Y miner based, without doing fair head to head testing. .
For this test: I used a single 12 GPU 1080Ti rig on Windows. All three miners were running at the same time on the same machine on the same pool using the -d flag. Before testing, I balanced the three instances on Enemy 1.03 so that all three were hashing the same (the GPUs are mixed brands/models)
All three instances had intensity set to 21, GPU target power set to 80%, fans at 75%, no overclocking.
The instances/rig are managed by Awesome Miner, which restarts the miners for various reasons, based on rules I set. And in fact each Enemy miner version triggered a program restart once, during testing. Enemy 1.03 for accepted shares not increasing over a 3 minute span, Enemy 1.05 for no API response in 3 minutes. Each program restart can result in 2-5 minutes of mining downtime.
ON TO THE RESULTS:
The test was run for just over 10 hours. Surprisingly, all three miners performed almost identically.
Break down of earnings:
- 108.53 RVN - Suprminer 1.6
- 107.02 RVN - Enemy 1.03
- 106.64 RVN - Enemy 1.05
